If I have a C in my PE at 10th grade, will it affect my admission?

The majority of public schools in other countries do not offer any AP, IB, A-level subjects, does it weaken us in comparison to domestic students?

Claire, we look at every application holistically. Only one low grade should not have much of an affect on your admission. There are many factors that go into a student being admitted

Laura, we look at each application individually. We look at what each school offers and evaluate a student's application based on what their school offers. We are very used to different offerings at different schools.

Do those who studied in English countries required to show proof of English proficiency?

If your education has been in English for at least 4 years, you can apply for a waiver

Does the absence of SAT or ACT exams affect a student's admission to a test-optional university?

Daria, it definitely does not. We are truly test optional.

If I studied in English from grade 7 am I required to submit English proficiency ?

If you submit the scores, we will look at them. If you do not, we review the application without them!

Professors and your advisor are very supportive of students designing their own major.

Riak, great question! We have a specific International Orientation program for students. You would arrive a week early for this! We also have a pre-orientation program for 1st generation students, called P.R.I.D.E.

Are internships available for freshmen at Trinity College?

Are classes more discussion based or lecture based?

Trinity`s faculty ratio to student body is indeed attracting. I wonder if all the classes are held by actual professors or their teaching assistants?

Internships are available for all students. Our Career and Life Design Center is a great resource for helping students secure internships. There are 200 Trinity specific internships in the greater Hartford area and more around the country and world.

I know that those with greater needs like me have a more competitive application process to secure the financial aid I need. Is it still possible to secure full funding as a refugee? Is there a certain GPA we have to keep to maintain the financial aid?

International students can study away and your financial aid carries over to that program. Of course, you would need the appropriate visa and such!

Ekaterina, classes are small and are discussion based. The average class size is less than 20 students

Riak, our application process is competitive for all students. It is possible to secure funding as a refugee but it is of course competitive. You need to remain in good academic standing to maintain the aid.

Does trinity give financial aid to the international students who want to apply for the Spring entry?

Syed, yes, no matter what semester you start, the financial aid process is the same

What undergraduate research opportunities exist for undergraduate students? Specifically, are there any in nursing?

Is it good if I'm from an underrepresented country?

We have wonderful research opportunities for all majors. Students who are going into the medical field, can do research on campus, and at one of the hospitals that is near campus. Hartford Hospital is right around the corner and there are many research opportunities for students!

Dilmurod, we look at every application holistically. We have students from over 80 countries on campus and look at all applications the same.

As an international student, I’m a little nervous about securing and finding internship opportunities? What support do you offer with this?

Ekaterina, within 6 months of graduation, over 90% of our graduates are either employed full time or enrolled in grad school. Our Career and Life Design Center helps with this too!
